I am pleased to introduce a new section of my website called "Lagniappe". Lagniappe is believed to be derived from the Spanish word la ñapa (the gift) which the Louisiana French in New Orleans picked up and used for "a little something extra". Or as Mark Twain put it, Lagniappe is "something thrown in, gratis, for good measure."

This new section is indeed a little something extra thrown in for good measure. Here you will find little tidbits that are of interest, or even off-topic and not at all pertaining to judicial matters.  I hope you enjoy this new section to my website.
